How to read one rate and a range
- Match the low to the high. When those two numbers are the same, the market posts one rate. When they differ, the market posts a range.
- Read the median on a range. The high is the top of the posted band, not a promise that a typical shift pays that amount.
- Rank by open slots, not by the high rate. The RN, LPN, and CNA pay-by-city pages sort on the high rate. This page sorts on how many openings are posted.
- The shift in the app has its own rate. A city row is a summary. The hourly rate on the shift is the number to use.
